Ariadne Garden
A double city lot in Portland (100' by 100')

A neighborhood garden where food is grown for the neighborhood, classes are held on subjects such as soils, composting, planning a garden, layout, planting, weeding, harvesting and other areas of interest to food growers.

Emerson Garden
A narrow city lot located in Portland at 822 NE Emerson Street.
A typical old residential lot in NE Portland. That means, among other things, that it is contaminated with lead. This is very common on sites where older houses have stood.
OSALT has two objectives for this site: to provide a community garden space for the neighborhood, and to conduct a closely monitored research program on this site involving the decontamination of the soil so that food can safely be grown here.

Greeley Forest Garden
Portions of a number of adjacent lots in NE Portland (currently about 2/3 acre),
We eventually hope to add adjacent parcels to total about 10 acres.
Just north of the intersection of N. Greeley and N. Interstate Avenue near the east end of the Fremont bridge.
This propertiy is currently under desigh to become Portland's first forest garden.
